This is a show about chickens. It's also about childhood obsessions, memory, guilt, human overconsumption and climate responsibility (...but mostly chickens). As a teenager, Miranda was obsessed with her two chickens, Amber and Mercedes. As an adult, she's still thinking about chickens - all 29 billion of them. In this new solo show, award-winning artist Miranda Prag unearths the skeletons in her closet and tackles some of the biggest questions facing humanity today - all through the lens of chickens. Part story, part performance lecture, part slideshow, Chicken Girl is a surreal comedy for the eco-conscious, the eco-confused and anyone who's ever loved - or eaten - a chicken.
