The nation of the Gummy Bears has declared war on the neighbouring nation of the Dinosaurs. Why? No one knows, but having made their stand, they will not back down now. The Dinosaurs are surprised by this unexpected provocation, but decide that they had better meet the challenge. It is painfully obvious that the Gummy Bears are marching to their doom, so the question remains: why do they remain so stubborn in the face of inevitable disaster? The Gummy Bears' Great War was an immediate success when it made its UK debut at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024, where it won a number of 'pick of the Fringe' accolades from national and local press and enthralled sell-out audiences with a uniquely quirky tragicomedy played out in microcosm. Following similar success at the Brighton Festival, In Scena! (New York), &Fest (Helsinki) and several festivals in Italy, The Gummy Bears' Great War now invades London for the first time as part of the Voila! Festival. Called 'a bizarre and irresistible creation' by The Stage, The Gummy Bears' Great War is aimed at those interested in experimental, funny and provocative works. It's a small show that packs a powerful punch.
